An Analog Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor is a durable hardware module designed to measure soil humidity without suffering from the rapid oxidation and rust that plagues traditional resistive sensors. It works by measuring the change in capacitance caused by the dielectric properties of surrounding water content. Because the copper traces are completely insulated inside the PCB layer rather than exposed directly to wet soil, it delivers a significantly longer service life.
